The SAWIP Board (SA) is very happy to announce that Sibongile Khumalo has been appointed as the SAWIP Executive Director in South Africa. She will replace Sally Currin who has held the COO position.
Sibongile has a MSc in Physiology from the University of the Witwatersrand, is a recognized young leader in her own right having been included in the 200 Mail and Guardian Young Leaders in 2013 and having been selected for YALI and becoming a 2016 Mandela Washington Fellow. Her professional background has largely been in education. She has experience in all operations of a non-profit organization; a passion for identifying and nurturing potential in young people; and, is an active citizen and servant leader who is engaged in/with communities.
Sibongile will start with SAWIP in May.
