We are delighted to announce SAWIP’s two new Team Managers for 2013 – Jason Pentz (SAWIP Alumnus 2012) and Justin Groep (Stellenbosch University Student). It gives us great pleasure to welcome these two to the SAWIP management team, where they will be helping to recruit a wider pool of candidates, develop the SAWIP curriculum, and inspire team members to reach their potential.
Jason Pentz is currently completing his undergraduate degree at the University of the Western Cape (UWC) and will do his Honours in Industrial Psychology next year. A graduate of the Emerging Leaders Academy at UWC, and more recently SAWIP, Jason has a passion for leadership development. He looks forward to embracing this opportunity of working with and learning from student leaders from the three Western Cape Universities, as well as the well-established network that the SAWIP program interacts with. Jason enjoys sports and has cycled professionally for 3 years, representing South Africa at the World Cup series.
Justin Groep is currently completing his BComm Management Sciences degree at Stellenbosch University. He is an aspiring social entrepreneur, visionary leader and hopeless optimist. Justin is extensively involved in leadership and innovation at Stellenbosch University, serving as a mentor to first years, and as Head Student of Aurora PSO, a student community for non-residence students. He has also taught entrepreneurship at the Stellenbosch University/Babson College USA entrepreneurship winter school. Justin was part of the organising team at the FVZS Stellenbosch Annual Leadership Conference 2012, and also represented the university at the 5th South African Innovation Summit. Justin one day hopes to teach entrepreneurship to African youth by establishing a social enterprise that embraces an innovative environment and takes a revolutionary approach to job creation and people empowerment.
Please feel free to contact Jason at firstname.lastname@example.org and Justin at email@example.com.
