So now that the possibility of going to Washington DC has been ticked off my life’s bucket list, I can start making plans to make the most of this trip.
Here’s a list of ten things I want to do in DC;
- I want to go to Six Flags and conquer my fear of heights
- Attend Kendick Lamar’s concert, July 21st
- Spend a day on campus at Howard University or George Washington University (I definitely will be doing this on the days where I start missing chips from our Student Centre)
- Excited to experience the celebrations across USA on July 4th
- Visit Washington Highlands (Bellveue), it’s listed as the number 1 place to avoid after dark in Washington DC on Google (The stories of people from such neighbourhoods are often untold, I want to uncover them)
- Spend a day at the World Bank
- Visit the White House
- Spend my weekends at any after school programmes for children from neighbourhoods like Bellveue
- Find a place where they have live performances and poetry sessions
- Taraji P. Henson happens to be from Washington DC. The universe must play it’s part.
This is refreshing to read! I was privileged enough to spend almost everyday at the world bank (it was my work placement)! Hope you are able to tick everything off.
That’s just great! Mind if I send you an email so we can chat more about your experience at the World Bank?
