SAWIP inspires, develops and supports annual teams of interns and its whole alumni body to bring about community development through social projects amongst the most disadvantaged and marginalised South Africans.

There are many ways in which you can contribute towards SAWIP’s goal of developing future South African leaders.

Your contribution will go towards:

  1. Sponsor a student by covering his/her participation costs for a year
  2. Financial assistance for students with the clothing, luggage or other items needed for their internships in Washington, DC
  3. Provide knowledge and expertise for curriculum implementation
  4. Supply venues for SAWIP events and activities
  5. Be a host for SAWIP’s service projects
  6. Serve as a mentor to SAWIP program participants and alumni
  7. Facilitate fund raising and/or events with SAWIP Board members
  8. Volunteer to help with SAWIP activities
  9. Provide internships in the US
  10. Host a student in your house during his or her time in the US
