SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC TRANSFORMATION DRIVEN BY SOUTH AFRICA’S EMERGING, SERVANT LEADERS

SAWIP inspires, develops and supports annual teams of interns and its whole alumni body to bring about community development through social projects amongst the most disadvantaged and marginalised South Africans.

Description

SAWIP selects a team of interns each year for a seven month program which is aimed at delivering quality, sustainable community development within poor and marginalized communities and, thereby, contributing towards social justice in South Africa.

SAWIP currently recruits annually 19 high potential South African citizens and permanent residents with a significant record of service from the Universities of Cape Town, Stellenbosch, the Western Cape and Pretoria into its team of interns. Students are eligible starting in their second year of academic study to the age of 25 years.

SAWIP’s program is informed by its philosophy of the servant leader and its MISSION, VALUES and BELIEFS.
