Washington DC.

The South Africa-Washington International Program is helping to inspire, prepare and support South African youth to lead a sustainable democracy with a peaceful and prosperous future for all its citizens.

SAWIP Students Featured on Africa.com

As part of a new partnership, the South Africa-Washington International Program will have a featured blog on Africa.com’s front page over the next fifteen weeks. Every Monday, one of our students will share their thoughts on issues from youth development to African politics.

Africa.com's mission is “to change the way the world sees Africa and to be the online portal for the world's engagement with Africa”. As the fastest growing Africa-related website with nearly three million page views per month, Africa.com gives our students an additional platform to advocate for youth empowerment. Edyth Parker (SAWIP Class of 2012) starts us off with our first blog feature about the UN and South Africa’s youth.
