APPLICATION TO SAWIP 2014

Applications for 2014 are now closed. Please do check back here for updates on the 2015 program.

Here are some facts to keep in mind...

  • Applications for 2014 will open on the 18th January 2014 and remain open until midnight on the 14th February 2014
  • It is your responsibility to ensure that your application is submitted completely, correctly, succinctly and in a timely manner.
  • As you will discover, the application form is not brief and requires a considerable amount of work. We recommend that you do not leave it to the last minute.

You will find that the Application Instruction Document 2014 explains the application form and all the important information that you need. Be sure to read it in full BEFORE you fill in the application. This document requires Adobe Reader.

You will receive an on screen notification to indicate that your application has been accepted once you have submitted it. If you don't receive that confirmation, please email us a query to make sure. Sometimes, there are technical hitches.

Successful applicants will be notified if they have been selected for an interview by late February 2014.

Interviews will be conducted early March 2014 and you will hear if you made it to the selection camp by mid-March 2014.

The following are key criteria that evaluators will be looking for in each application:

  • Candidate demonstrates positive leadership qualities
  • Candidate demonstrates a commitment to service
  • Candidate demonstrates attention to their academic success
  • Candidate shows commitment to the mission, vision and values of SAWIP

We will select a minimum of 3 candidates from each university.
