The South Africa-Washington Internship Program is helping to inspire, prepare and support a diverse new generation of emerging South African leaders within multiple disciplines.

Internship

The SAWIP program includes a six-week internship in Washington, D.C. where the students work in high quality internships on Capitol Hill, in business and the NGO community. Every effort is made to match students’ academic and professional goals with their internship placements. Recent placements have included the Corporate Council on Africa, the US Africa Development Foundation, Vital Voices, Africa Action, the Robert F. Kennedy Foundation, the World Bank, the International Finance Corporation and the World Affairs Council.
